Bangkok to Ayutthaya

So how do we get there? Here is a step by step guide, as per my experience, I went on 1st January 2018.

1. Getting to Ayutthaya 

• Take the BTS Skytrain to Mo Chit Station, it shall cost under 50 Bhat.
• Once you arrive at the Mo Chit Station, you can take a cab cost up to 150 Bhat or bus #3 or # 7 from MoChit BTS Station to Mochit 2. I took a cab was much quicker and easier and I freaked out once I got on the wrong bus :P.
• Once you arrive at MoChit 2 Bus station look for Minivan to Ayutthaya or ask anyone, it cost 60 Bhat as per 1st January 2018.

I got really lucky as the minivan driver (attached the contact details from the van) got me a tuk-tuk organized who took me around, the tuk-tuk driver did not speak English very well, he had pictures of places that I wanted to visit, I just point to it and he took me there, for one hour it was 300 Bhat tuk-tuk ride.

Note: as of 1st January 2018 minivans to Ayutthaya leaves from Mochit Bus Station, locally knows as Mochit 2.

2. Getting Back to Bangkok 

Once the tour was done the tuk-tuk driver dropped me back to the minivan station. I was a bit unfortunate as the minivan stopped at 6:00 PM,  Luckily there was uber around who was dropping someone from Bangkok to Ayutthaya, it did cost me Bhat 1160 which I split with another guy who was stuck there from Bangkok too.

Note: The van operates until 6:00 PM back to MoChit 2, ill suggest to be back at 5:00 PM so you do not miss it .

You can always get a tour organized there are plenty of them just google. But I liked my adventurous trip more 🙂
